We work hard to get things right, and the Fact-Check Policy explains how. Still, a website can’t know your device, your situation or what changed since we last checked a page. These answers set out what you can and can’t expect from XtendedView.
Is XtendedView professional advice?
No. Everything here is general information for readers who want to understand technology or get a task done. A few articles touch on legal, financial or health topics; they explain the subject but are not advice for your circumstances. For a decision that matters, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation.
What if a tutorial goes wrong on my device?
Each guide names the software version it was tested on, but your setup may differ. Some steps, such as rooting an Android phone, editing the Windows registry or flashing firmware, can void a warranty or cause data loss. Back up first, read the whole guide before starting, and follow it at your own risk. XtendedView is not responsible for damage, lost data or costs that result from following a tutorial.
How current are the statistics?
Our statistics pages collect figures published by companies, regulators and research firms. Each page shows when we last checked it, and our Statistics Methodology explains how numbers are chosen. Figures change, estimates get revised, and sources sometimes disagree, so confirm a number with the original source before relying on it for something important.
Does anyone pay for what you publish?
Sometimes. XtendedView does not run display ads. Some articles are sponsored by a company, and some contain links that a company paid to place. Sponsored articles are marked as sponsored and paid links carry a sponsored tag, so they pass no search ranking credit. A payment never buys a positive review, a ranking or a change to a statistic. Some articles may also contain affiliate links, which earn us a small commission if you buy through them; your price stays the same.
Are you responsible for the sites you link to?
We link to sources so you can check our work, and to tools and services we write about. We don’t control those sites, their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on them.
Who owns the brands mentioned here?
Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. XtendedView is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any company it covers unless an article says so.
